First time back at the Beresford in 14 years, for a festive lunch with my Dad, and we LOVE this place. Fabulous menu, the food is out of this world delicious, and the setting a perfect blend of modern comfort in a very lovely, traditional country pub. I love the family run feel,and the historical local photos on the walls. Its so accessible too, with enough space - you dont feel like tables are crammed together. Our new local and I will definitely encourage gatherings with my family and friends.

Very warm welcome in this lovely village pub. Excellent beers on offer and great food. The Loaded Fries are a meal in themselves and worth a visit on their own!

We booked initially to break a long distance housing relocation before joining up with our furniture. Unfortunately, whilst we were provided with an excellent breakfast, there was no evening meal available on Tuesday evening which rather took the gloss off the stay! The rooms were good, showers excellent and the whole pub was dog friendly, and so were the customers.

We have eaten Sunday dinner several times over the last 6 months and have to say I rate it as one of the best in the area, if not THE best! We haven't had a bad bite and this includes feeding three generations! Have attached a picture of my pork belly from Sunday, we also ordered the cauliflower cheese side which is just *chefs kiss*. Staff are always attentive and the fab online booking system is super easy to use. We didn't stay overnight so can't comment on the rooms.

There are currently only 4 rooms only accessible by a flight of stairs so not suitable for guests who can't climb the stairs. However, they are adding some new rooms at ground level which will be accessible. As part of the renovations, they are replacing an old boiler system which has impacted the water pressure in the current rooms. I didn't bother to try and wash my hair on my second day as it would taken far too long to wash out the shampoo! Also no charger in the bathroom for toothbrushes etc. Otherwise the room was clean and roomy. The breakfast (full Northumbrian) was delicious and very filling. Everything including black pudding was cooked perfectly.

Visited for Christmas dinner yesterday. Food was amazing, staff were very friendly, food turned up quickly and a 3 course Christmas dinner for £30 I thought was good value, there was so much food. Just 10 mins outside of Morpeth.

Had Sunday lunch here. Decent choice on the menu, quality and quantity very good, and served efficiently and politely. Reasonable prices, 2 courses £25, 3 courses £30. Would certainly go back.

Can’t give a rating on the rooms as I haven’t stayed there but myself and our cycle club visit here for a few drinks on a mid week and it has a great location. Prices are on the higher side for drinks but it is a great ambience
